The Next Act is thrilled to announce that we will hold auditions for our very first production, Shrek Jr., on Monday, January 26 from 5:30-8:30pm at the South End Children’s Cafe in Albany (map). Auditions are open to anyone age 7-14.
If your child is interested in auditioning, please fill out the audition form on Google Forms no later than Friday, January 23. If you are unable to complete the form on the web, please reach out and we will make the appropriate accommodations.
Each child should prepare 16-32 measures (about 30 seconds) of a song of their choice. They may sing a capella, but if they would like musical accompaniment, please submit a link to the backing track through the audition form (a space will appear on page 2 of the form if you indicate that you will be using a backing track). Tracks on YouTube with no vocals are preferred.
Please remember that your child should bring a water bottle and wear comfortable shoes for dancing and moving.
